Midas touch

Hello,
Today in London thanks to global warming we had really lovely weather, it was a bit windy but it was super sunny unfortunately it still isn't frappuccino and suntan weather. I know I promised a blog post on my favourite product but I am naughty and I had this post in mind a little while ago and really want to post this one. I promise Monday you will have the promised post.

I am a bit of an odd mix and have fairly olive skin but I love looking tanned and apart from a natural tan I have never dabbled in the world of fake tan.  I was rather naughty and I have used a sunbed but only once and I would never go back! I can understand the appeal and why it is addictive but to me it felt like being in a neon coffin ( I used a stand up one). I did look like I had been on holiday but I personally don't like the feeling of being trapped.

A little while ago I had a bit of time and popped into a near by Boots store and decided to have a look at the range of fake tan available. I had a quick look on my phone Internet for any reviews and tips on the different ones they had in the shop. I decided to go with Garnier's Self Tan Wipes, these seemed pretty simple the colour is on the wipe and there is enough for the whole body.

The packaging says 'No Streaks' which is probably based on how well you apply it  more than the wipe I would imagine. What I liked about the packaging is it says 'Natural Looking Tan' which I am hoping means I won't end up looking orange.

The back of the packet says " Enriched with natural extract of apricot and vitamin E, the no streaks bronzer wipes leave the skin feeling moisturised and give it a radiant natural looking glow in just 2 hours."

Now I am no fool...some of the time. So I applied this on my lower half simply because if it does make me orange and won't scrub off for ages I can cover it up with tights, trousers and leggings.
So here goes....
Leg before fake tan

The wipe looks like a makeup remover wipe and smells really nice like peaches.
I wore gloves because it will stain your hands

So i followed the instructions and I didn't think it was going to show up so I used the other self tan wipe on my legs again.
9minutes after first application....you are meant to wait 2hours for development

This morning I woke up thinking my covers would be a mess of orange tan but nothing seemed to have rubbed off. The colours looks good even my mum noticed. It isn't orange on me but I think if you were very light in tone then it would give an orange colour. It covered up and evened out my blotchy patches and tan lines. Although this is an easy application I did end up with a patch on my foot but it meant that I was able to tell how 'tanned' I had become.
The foot has a patch of non tanned skin on the right of the foot it looks like the sun on the skin but it is my actual colour.

I would use this product again mainly to cover up tan lines (which I can see my self doing in the future) and if I was going out and didn't want to wear skin colour tights. This is a product that I would recommend.
