So hands up if you likes little Monty's photo on the last post.
Today I will be talking about my favourite must have item EVER!
My favorite item that I cannot leave the house without is my eyeliner. I love it! Since a teenager I have been wearing it and while many colours and styles have changed eyeliner is a staple. It has over the years become darker and more dramatic but leaving the house without it almost brings fear and panic. Yes I am an eyeliner addict and I carry several different versions with me.
My collection of eyeliner is always growing as different effects and different climets require a different application or formula. Going to see family in warmer climets I will still refuse to give up my eyeliner rather having panda eyes than go without, however this has been a distant memory thanks to waterproof eyeliner. YAY.
Back home in the UK the cold weather means that if my eyeliner isn't already frozen it will probably freeze when I apply it making waterproof eyeliner only needed if your going to a pool party or won't have any time in the day for a touch up. My favourite eyeliner at the moment is Lord & Berry Silk Kajal Eyeliner Pencil and Maybeline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner. Lord & Berry deserves its own page review but bewteen the two I couldn't pick but for lining the water line the pencil is best but for defining the lash line then I wouldn't not recomend a pencil.
The Maybeline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner (apart from having a very long name) it comes with a brush just incase you don't have a liner brush. Now when I first got it I didn't have a liner brush so I was impressed that it came with a brush, now the brush does work and it is a pretty good bush but not the best. I prefer one that is angled which helps with the flicks at the end of the lash line. I tried to trim the brush into an angle shape but I don't recomend it.
The vial of gel is pretty sturdy and I have dropped mine several times and no damage so far (touch wood) which is better than a pencil liner which can be damaged when dropped. The gel when you first open the packaging seems really small and I was a bit worried that I would get through it quickly but a little goes a long way and it will last just as long as a pencil liner if not longer.
If you have never used a gel liner I would highly recomend trying it out, if you don't want to spend to much on a new liner and a brush then getting the Maybeline set is a good starting point simply because it comes with the brush but I would recomend investing in an angle brush eventually as it makes the application and control so much easier.

The Dirty Works angle brush is pretty good, it is a basic brush that I bought to get me through the months till the Proffesional Beauty Show comes around I can pick out some flashy brushes. I am not sure if the Dirty Works is still available as it was being discontinued in my local Sainsburys but I am not sure on all Sainsburys.
