Leopard Claws! GRRRR

Its FRIDAY!! Plus its half term double happiness :)

Ok so as promised here is the leopard print nail tutorial of sorts. My camera is broken and on a non existent day off I will look for a new one so I apologies for the quality as it is taken on my phone.

So start off with removing any old chipped nail varnish  and if you know how to push and remove cuticles then go ahead and do that if not its best not to as any damage to the cuticle area could result on damage to growth of the nail.

Done? Great!
So next put a base coat on. This is to help the nail varnish stay on the nails and prolong the nail varnish, it can also smooth out any ridges or bumps.
Next paint your nails a bright or light shade if you are going for a dark (i.e. Black) leopard print or you can use dark polish if you are going for a neon bright print. I chose red. I also did two coats. If your impatient and want your nails to dry ASAP best do one coat.

Ok next find a bobby pin or kirby grip, even a tooth pick will work. I personally prefer a kirby grip as the two sides often have different sizes great for going from thumbs to your little finger. Open the kirby gip so that you can use it as a dotting tool.....

Personally I recommend to put a large dollop of your nail polish you are going to use for the print on a glossy piece of paper such a cover of a magazine or any leaflet that you no longer need however you can often remove the polish after with limited damage to the front of the magazine.

Then dip an end of your home made dotting tool into the polish you don't need to over load the dotting tool just enough to have control when making the shapes.

Ok for the shapes you need to try and make broken Os and Cs with dots. Sorry its blurry...but repeat this over and over again leaving some space between each O or C if you find there are too many gaps you can add little dots or  squiggly lines.

YAY you have awesome nails! If your thinking this is not enough then you can match your nails to your lips! Line lips, add lip colour then use eyeliner to paint on the Leopard spots finally seal with a lip sealer.

If your feeling confident you can add colour inside the leopard spots:
Step 1. put a bright colour dots on nail
Step 2. add Os and Cs around the dots
Step 3. Repeat Os and Cs around the nail

TAA DAA!!!!
