I am Faas

I have yet to work out how I made it from home to Kings Cross to catch a train in under 30minute (with 3minutes to spare) when I am about an hour away, but I made it WOOHOO (although having an asthma attack and running at the same time is not advisable). However I have learnt a few things from this experience:
  1. Always wear flats when running late
  2. Never pack more than you can run with
  3. The more you curse the faster you will get to where you need to go
  4. Always carry your inhaler (if you need one)
  5. I am sure I am mean to say leave early to account for problems but thats not likely to happen.
OK onto the pretty stuff now...

So this is more of a helpful hint rather than a review: Even during our cash strapped broken economy the manicure is still proving popular and it has even been reported that while people are cutting back on luxuries this is one thing people are not giving up. Now manicures are amazing and an instant pick me up for most broke students or general people who have not got the budget for a decent manicure ( I am talking a proper mani in a real salon not one of those nail bars that have neon signs). So what could you do get nice nail? Well you could do a mani at home, but then you have to use your bad hand on your writing hand to clean the cuticles and that is just way to tricky (unless your ambidextrous...you lucky person).

So what’s the alternative?

College! Yes phone up your local college and you can get a luxury manicure for less than the price of a basic file and polish even at a tacky nail place with neon signs! Now you might be scared of incompetent students going near your lovingly grown nails, fear not the teacher is always on hand to take over or guide the student and most of the students are working in salons where their services are double or more the price in the college. You can't usually turn up for an appointment so best to google your local college and call them up. You get a lovely mani at a fraction of the cost and the student gets to pass their module! Think of it as doing your good deed of the week and having something to show for it.
