BeautyLLB Dares...

So Spring is in the air, well when its not raining. But the spring clean fever is upon me and while its a chance to clear and clean up my make up draws its also a chance to try out something new. It all started with new glasses (yay for the huge glasses! I can actually see so much more!) and I felt this was a time to make some changes:

YAY New Glasses, New Lipstick and New Hair Style! (this was taken at work, I was couldn't wait to go home to take a picture)
I have been stuck in a make up rut for sometime which I am sure all of us at one time or another have been in a style rut with our make up. Mostly when I go out and I always end up buying very similar colours, so last month I started experimenting with eyeshadow colours. I was stuck wearing varying shades of brown but after a brave move I will happily wear most colours.

I own an amazing red lipsticks but never being brave enough to wear it daily. So for the rest of the year I am going to try and wear lipsticks in a whole range of colours. Now it can be scary as it is often a big bold change, to pull it off you just have to be brave. It is about being confident and not backing down from your decision to be brave and before you know it you will have so many compliments about your new look you will be rocking bold colours all spring/summer.

So to kick start my new approach to being brave I chose some bright colours and one neutral for interviews and those times when you have to be a little less POP.

I have to say since wearing bright lipsticks I have been smiling even more and feeling more upbeat and possitive. Having a bright colour on a grey, dull day is a must have for everyone!

I am not sure on the colour names as Barry M's website is down when posting this but I will post the colour numbers:
COLOUR 150

Very Neutral Colour Soft Pink Tones

COLOUR: 151

YAY Nails Match Lips, Hot Pinky/Orange

COLOUR: 153

Love this colour, very Barbie inspired.

So be brave and I DOUBLE DARE you all to try being brave with your make up tomorrow! Good Luck! Post the colours you are rocking this season below in the comments section.

  1. I wear red lipstick loads - it can seem quite strong at first when you look in the mirror, but once you get used to it, it feels natural. Lots of vintage fans swear by the brands Besame or Rockalily, although my favourite is an ancient, discontinued Yardley one.

    1. Hi Mim,
Love red lips! It is a bit scary but worth it. Thank you for naming the brands, just checked out Rockalily and I need to check out their salon, their hair styles are amazing! Make up does have a use by date because of germs, apply with a clean lip brush to extend the life of your lipstick.
