| My favourite brushes |
My favourite must have collection in my make up box is my make up brushes, now you can get some cheap brushes around but if anyone has tried these types of bushes you may have noticed the hairs or bristles fall out very easily (and often on your face). A good brush should not do this!! A good brush is not always expensive but often does cost a bit of money as the fibres are densely packed and more care in securing the fibres is taken.
There are so many brushes around it can often be daunting trying to pick the right brush. The important thing to remember is the type of product you are using and where the product is being applied. For a liquid foundation something like this brush is best but a sponge is easier and gives a quick coverage (but remember to slightly damp the sponge or too much product will be absorbed into the sponge).
For a face powder or setting powder a larger more fluffier brush is needed to give a full even coverage, a smaller one can be used as well so long as you work the make up all over the face evenly. This is my personal one which I love it is the second largest one in the collection at Crown Make Up Brushes.

For bronzing a Kabuki brush is usually recommended but the fluffy big face powder brush can cover a large area too but I personally recommend an angle brush also known as a chisel brush. This allows contouring and highlighting easily and target specific areas such as jaw lines and cheek bones. This brush is also great for blushing cheeks.
Now my favourite eyeshadow brushes! YAY...now I love LOVE LOVE experimenting with eye shadows and styles so I like having a variety of brushes for different blending techniques. All these brushes except the pink one are from Crown, the pink one was part of set from Barry M.
This small pointy bullet shaped one is great for inner corner shading as well as blending shadow on the eyelid crease and also for highlighting under the eyebrow. I would say this is one of my most used eye shadow brushes as it is very versatile.
The larger flat brush is great for large coverage of eye colour, this can be used for a smokey effect too. If you prefer wearing one shade of eye shadow then this will make application so quick.
This pink Barry M brush was part of a gift set ( to my self) and it is actually a really lovely brush, I have had very little fall out of fibres....in fact I think I can actually count the number of fibres that fell out it has been so minimal. The fibres pick up dazzle pot colours really easy and brushes on well, I use it for evening out and softening colour around the crease line.
My new addition is the white bristle brush, this can be used for eyeliner (which I think is its actual description) but I prefer to use it to define and fill out my eye brows as it picks out and distributes the colour more softly and gives a 'natural' look.
Now where would I be without this brush? I don't want to even think about it! This is great for eye line gel or even for using powders as a liner. The angle of the brush allows an easy feline flick at the end of the eye.
The important thing to remember with brushes is to get good quality as a good brush can often be used for a range of products. Also because the brush is described for a specific use does not mean that you can only use the brush in that one restricted way, it is always more fun to experiment.
My favourite place to get brushes is http://www.crownbrush.co.uk/ and the majority of my brushes are from the LUNA range.
Hope you found this helpful if you have any questions about brushes let me know and don't forget to enter the competion http://beautyllb.blogspot.com/2012/03/just-giving-it-away.html
