On to this weeks beauty post....
Now I have always loved the crazy coloured hair styles and dip dyed hair but never actually thought I would be able to get the colours I wanted without bleaching my hair but I found an awesome way of achieving a temporary colour for your hair. I am using non oil pastels ( the colour will rub on your hair better than oil based pastels and the colour will be brighter than using chalk), it will rub on your pillow at night if you want it to last longer and not wash it out but don't worry it will wash out in the wash.
I bought the pastels from Rymans and I will only be using the bright colours, if you have Light coloured hair then the black and brown pastels will show up on your hair.
You can buy hair rub which gives a similar effect to this method but it is often more expensive than a packet of pastels.
So things you will need:
Coloured Pastels (non oil)
Clean hair
Brush
Hair clips
Towel
Hair Dryer and Heat Styling tool (optional)
Ok so you can do this anywhere on your hair that you want the colour. I chose to apply the colour on either side of my hair as I have a dark shot of colour on one side and the rest of my hair is light reddish-brown colour. I wanted to show that it was possible to colour your hair no matter what the colour, the darker your hair the more you will need to apply and the lighter your hair the brighter the colour will be.
1. Part your hair and tie back hair that you do not want coloured. Tie towel around your neck to protect clothing.
you might want to do this in your bathroom as it can be messy.
2. Wet hair that you want to colour, I would recommend using an spray bottle with water as you will need the hair very damp.
3. Next separate the hair into sections which will make it easier to apply the colour and also makes it easier to add different colours.
4. I would recommend breaking the pastels in half as it is easier to manage. Rub the pastel in a downward motion on the hair till the colour is all over the section of hair and bright enough to show once the hair is dry.
5. You can either wait till your hair dries naturally of dry hair with a hair dryer on low heat. While your hair is drying you can wash the mess you have made (the pastels wash out easily). If you dry your hair with a hair dryer you will get more colour on your hands but it simply washes off.
The pastel colours will just wash off with soap and water
Cleans easily
6. You can then style your hair or leave it at that. Et Voila you have bright hair YAY.
Here is the finished result, the left side (blue colours) is the dark brown (almost
natural black) hair with the pastel colour and the right/top side is the
light brown hair with paste colours.

Fantastic. I will try it definitely :)
